Overview
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide (15 amino acids, sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV) originally derived from a partial sequence of a protein found in gastric juice. It is one of the most frequently referenced peptides in the regenerative- and tissue-research literature and is supplied as a lyophilised powder for laboratory use.
As a research compound it is studied in vitro and in animal models for its role in angiogenesis, cell migration and gastrointestinal and connective-tissue research. It is supplied strictly as a research reference material and is not for human or animal consumption.
Research areas
- Angiogenesis and vascular endothelial signalling, examined in preclinical models
- Cell-migration and tissue-repair processes studied across tendon, ligament and gastrointestinal models
- Interaction with nitric oxide and dopamine signalling pathways, characterised in published research
- Gastrointestinal-mucosa research models

Storage and handling
Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a sealed vial and kept frozen until dispatch. Unopened vials are typically stored at -20°C for the long term and 2-8°C for short periods. After reconstitution with bacteriostatic water, vials are generally refrigerated at 2-8°C, protected from light, and not subjected to repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
